Cleaning for Cancer

TransMedia Group welcomes aboard new client, Cleaning for Cancer! The nonprofit organization is headquartered in Boca Raton, FL, but provides free residential cleaning services to cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy nationwide.

Nadege Desravines, president and founder of Cleaning for Cancer, decided to start the nonprofit when she discovered that there were so many cancer patients out there who were too weak to keep up with the daily nuances of life, including cleaning their homes. Desravines, 24 years old from Haiti, lost both grandmothers to cancer. Determined to offer her services to patients nationwide, Desravines partnered with residential cleaning companies throughout the country that have agreed to help at least three patients going through chemotherapy and/ or radiation treatment by cleaning their home once a month for a three month period.

Cleaning for Cancer understands that a cancer diagnoses is a life changing experience that affects patients and their families. The goal of the charity is to give the patients dealing with their diagnosis a clean home once a month at no cost so they can focus on their recovery during a difficult time.
